Who we are
The data controller for this website is Lanternway Digital Ltd, Leeds, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
You can use the whole site, including the Pathfinder and the finder, without giving us any personal information. Your answers in the Pathfinder are processed in your browser only; they are not sent to us or stored.
- Your cookie choice: stored in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again. It never leaves your device.
- Emails you send us: your address and message, used only to reply.
- Server logs: our hosting and content-delivery providers process technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. These logs are kept for a short period by those providers.
We do not currently run analytics or advertising tags. If we add analytics in future, it will only run after you choose “Accept”, and this policy will be updated first.
Lawful bases
We rely on legitimate interests to run and secure the website and to answer emails you send us, and on consent for any optional analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
How long we keep data
We keep email correspondence for up to 24 months, then delete it, unless we need it longer to deal with a complaint or legal obligation.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. Hosting and email providers process data on our behalf under contract. Where a provider is outside the UK, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement are used.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
This site does not knowingly collect personal data from children. It has no accounts, sign-ups or forms.
